Editorial policy

GTA Gift selects topics around a real buying or understanding problem. A guide should answer its main question early, explain the choices that change the answer and provide a useful next step.

Sources and changing facts

We use relevant publisher, platform, manufacturer and store information for compatibility, product contents and redemption conditions. Links sit near the claims they support. A general brand page does not prove a particular seller’s stock, price or delivery.

When a fact depends on a region, edition or account, the explanation states that context. An example is an example, not a report of a purchase or test. We do not treat a product’s popularity as proof of suitability for every recipient.

Recommendations and commercial links

Buying advice reflects the recipient’s needs and the stated product conditions. Advertising and affiliate links are identified. A commission does not change the meaning of a platform restriction or turn an unsuitable item into a suitable gift.

Prices, availability and seller terms can change. The actual destination listing and checkout should be read before payment. We do not invent test results, discounts or guarantees.

Changes and corrections

Material factual errors are corrected, and significant updates are identified with an appropriate note and date. A correction fixes inaccurate information; an update reflects a changed product or rule. Small style and spelling changes do not require a separate announcement.

Send a specific concern through corrections. Our advertising policy gives more detail about commercial links.
